Methodology used for creating the "Legislation" chapter.
-
The legislation acts referred to in this chapter are only the ones relevant to
processed fruit and vegetables.
-
Basic acts are presented in bold. Subsequent amendment(s) or secondary
legislation immediately follow the basis act.
-
Consolidated versions are provided for if they exist.
-
The amendments to basic acts of relevance to processed fruit and vegetables are
included even if these amendments are reflected in the consolidated version,
for two reasons:
-
The consolidated versions are created for the ease of reference, they have no
legal force.
-
The recitals stating the reasons for amending the text are sometimes not
included in the consolidated version.
-
The exceptions to this rule are the chapters on plant protection products and
on the maximum residue levels of pesticides, due to a very high number of
amendments to the basic directives. The only amendments included in these two
chapters are the acts absent from the consolidated version.
-
We update the chapter every time when there is a modification. New consolidated
versions are included twice per year.
