Status CMO Reform - March 2005 14/03/2005
The legislative proposals from the Commission on the reform of the fruit and vegetables CMO are not expected before early 2006 as they depend on the results of the evaluation studies due to start in May/June this year. The Commission released on its website a call for tenders concerning the "evaluation studies to analyse the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance and coherence of some of the Common Agriculture Policy measures in the fruit and vegetables sector." The analysis of the Polish situation in the soft red fruit sector (cherries, strawberries,…) will be done by the Commission (internally).
